Our Story

One summer evening, Andrey and Andrea were hanging out with friends. They didn’t know each other very well, but as fate would have it, Andrey was without a partner to play beer pong and Andrea offered to be his teammate. While the specifics of the game have been lost, a connection between the two was made over humor and lively conversation.

On July 2, 2010, they met in front of Alta tapas restaurant in the West Village of New York City for their first date. After dinner, they ventured to Fat Cat NYC to play ping pong while listening to live jazz. Their date was going so well that by the time they finished at Fat Cat, an ice cream sandwich shop Andrey planned to stop at was closed. Andrea suggested they walk to 16 Handles so they got their frozen yogurt and sat down at nearby Abe Lebewohl Park.

Since then, they’ve had many more dates and their relationship has grown into what is today, and what it will be tomorrow.
